Prague 2, ZŠ Kladská
Kladská Elementary School in Prague was built between 1902 and 1903 according to the design of the city builder and engineer Antonín Turek. The building is designed in the shape of the letter "E" with a shorter central wing and is a typical example of the Neo-Renaissance style, which was popular at that time.
On September 27, 1903, the Chapel of St. Procopius was consecrated at the school by Msgr. Ferdinand Josef Lehner, the first parish priest of the Church of St. Ludmila on Náměstí Míru. The chapel has not survived to the present day; its sacral function ceased, and the space was converted into a social hall for practical use.
The school was constructed as the tenth school building in the Vinohrady district at a cost of 297,455 Czech crowns. Since its establishment, the building has continuously served educational purposes and remains a significant part of Vinohrady's historical architecture.
Since 2025, the building has been fitted with new wooden windows by TRUSTAV.
